The U.S. Embassy Helsinki gets the first installation of WindStream Technologies’ TurboMill, with personal oversight from company CEO Dan Bates. While in Helsinki, Mr. Bates took the opportunity to discuss the project with Ambassador Oreck.

Just thinking, during the Christmas storm we lost first grid power, then mobile phone connectivity, for several days… if the mobile service providers like Sonera or Elisa had had a few of these beauties up on their base station masts, at least the emergency phone traffic would have been uninterupted… something for Ambassador Oreck to take up with the companies, or the civil safety authorities?
